Preheat the oven to 350°. Spray a 10" tube pan with non stick cooking spray. In a mixing bowl, add the vegetable shortening and butter. Using a mixer on medium speed, beat for 2 minutes. Add the granulated sugar and beat for 3 minutes. Add the eggs to the bowl. Beat for 3 minutes.
Ad the bananas, milk and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix for 2 minutes. Add the all purpose flour, baking powder and salt to the bowl. Mix until the batter is moistened and combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
